This work explains the dental treatment of a variety of restorative problems, each of which is detailed through case studies. From bruxism and Raynaud's disease to advanced periodontitis and tooth loss, a variety of clinical situations are presented. Both the rationale and the clinical protocols are discussed, while each patient's treatment is then reviewed by other experts. The text goes far beyond the borders of prosthodontics, incorporating periodontal therapy, endodontics, orthodontics and implant dentistry. Pragmatic and easy-to-follow, Prosthodontics in Clinical Practice will be of interest to most practicing dentists and specialists.

The idea for writing this book came while sitting in one of the seminars of our graduate program in Prosthodontics. One of our students was presenting a progress report of his patient, discussing the diagnosis, and the possible treatment plans. Finally, he showed his treatment and explained its rationale. As I sat there, the thought came to me, what a waste of i nformation this is; the student is presenti ng a beautifully documented treatment for a very difficult patient with superb radiographs and slides. What a shame that only the 12 or so people in the room are viewing it.The purpose of the book is to share our treatment modalities and rationale of treatment with as many dentists as possible.
